Cloudflare account setup

Create your Cloudflare account in under 2 minutes — it's the first step to connecting your domain.

Before you can route traffic through Cloudflare, you need an account. The free plan includes everything required for DNS management, SSL certificates, and Worker deployments — no credit card needed.

What you'll need

  • A valid email address you can access right now
  • A password with at least 8 characters (we recommend using a password manager)

Create your account

  1. Open the Cloudflare signup page at dash.cloudflare.com/sign-up.
  2. Enter your email address and choose a secure password.
  3. Click Create account.

Verify your email

  1. Check your inbox for a verification email from Cloudflare. It usually arrives within a minute.
  2. Click the verification link in the email.
  3. If you don't see the email, check your spam or junk folder.

Log in to the dashboard

  1. Go to dash.cloudflare.com.
  2. Sign in with the email and password you just created.
  3. You should see an empty dashboard — this is where your domains and Workers will appear.

What's next?

Your Cloudflare account is ready. The next step is to add your domain to Cloudflare so it can manage your DNS records and traffic routing. You'll do this in the "Cloudflare domain connection" guide.

Troubleshooting

  • Didn't receive the verification email? Wait a few minutes, then check spam. You can also click "Resend" on the Cloudflare verification page.
  • Getting "email already in use"? You may already have an account. Try the "Forgot password" link to recover access.
